Weigh in on Early School Year

The calendar says that summer ends next month, but for a lot of people in Massapequa it feels like summer ends this week.

There are only a few more days of freedom for area students before school starts. It’s an early start this year as the session begins before Labor Day and before August ends.

While the holiday falls early this year, there are those who feel the school year should start in August every year and that children should be in school for more days.
