Weigh in on Sept. 11 Remembrances

It will always be one of America's worst days and we'll always remember the victims of the 9/11.

But on this eleventh anniversary of the terror attacks, we 're going to raise the very sensitive issue of whether some of the ceremonies and remembrances should be scaled back.

We can't imagine that there will ever be a time when Sept. 11 won't be marked somehow, the same way that Pearl Harbor Day will forever be burned in our consciousness, even for generations born long after the end of World War II.

At the same time, more than a decade has passed and we wonder if the constant reminders are too painful for the families of victims, who've struggled to put their lives back together.

We're also mindful of the fact that there are those who are greatly comforted by the knowledge that their loved ones remain on our minds and in our hearts on this day, and we don't want to advocate something that could be harmful to the many people whose lives have been affected every day for the last eleven years.

But seeing both sides of the issue, we'd like to gage your opinion on the matter.
