Widow Of Detective Diller Joins Holiday Toy Charity At LI Schools
The Promise of Hope Foundation will distribute toys and other items for the next two weeks.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — A Long Island-based charity is partnering with the widow of NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller.
The Promise of Hope Foundation, which brings holiday cheer to children in underserved communities, will honor the memory and legacy of Diller, who was killed in the line of duty in March.
Members of the Diller family, along with the Promise of Hope Foundation, will distribute toys, books and other holiday gifts to students over the next two weeks.

The foundation plans to distribute over 15,000 toys to more than eight school districts within Nassau and Suffolk counties.
"Through this event, we not only celebrate Jonathan’s legacy but also offer students a chance to experience the joy and significance of generosity," Co-founder Michael VanDenburg said.

The foundation also said the holiday project could not be possible without the support of Detective Diller’s widow and Toys for Toys.
