Patchogue Village will be holding their 30th annual Snapper Derby for children this Saturday at Mascot Dock. The contest is open for children ages 6 to 14. Children ages 6 to 10 will fish from 1 p.m.-2 p.m., and ages 11 to 14 will fish from 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. The cost is $3 in advance and $5 the day of. Children will have to bring their own fishing rod, but bait and bucket will be supplied. Mascot Dock is located near the southern-most end of South Ocean Avenue.
