Police: Stolen Credit Card Used At Patchogue Stores

Around $700 in charges at Patchogue businesses were discovered on the stolen credit card, says police.

Suffolk County police are attempting to identify the suspected woman who spent around $700 using a credit card that had been stolen from a purse in Port Jefferson at two Patchogue businesses.

The victim reported her American Express card stolen on May 7 after discovering it was used to purchase $250 worth of merchandise at Best Buy in Patchogue and more than $450 at Walbaums in Patchogue.

Police described the suspect as a thin woman with dark hair, wearing a blue shirt, black leggings, black ballet-style flat shoes and dark framed sunglasses.

Anyone with information on this crime can call to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Calls to Crime Stoppers are kept anonymous.
