Thief Smashes Display Case, Swipes Jewelry From LI Sam's Club On Christmas Eve: Police

It happened just after 10 a.m. on Christmas Eve, Suffolk cops say.

MEDFORD, NY — A man smashed a glass case before swiping assorted jewelry from inside Sam's Club in Medford on Christmas Eve, Suffolk police said.

He used a blunt instrument to break the case and steal an unreleased amount of the jewelry from the Horseblock Road location at around 10:10 a.m., according to police.

No one was injured, police said.
