4 Hurt, 1 Seriously, in Suffolk Crash
A woman with nine outstanding warrants ran a red light, triggered a 4- car crash and then fled the scene Tuesday night, police say.

FARMINGVILLE, NY – Suffolk Police have released details on a four-car crash that seriously injured a man in Farmingville Tuesday night. A woman faces charges for fleeing the scene and resisting arrest, police said.
According to police, 30-year-old Taylor Darienzo was driving a 2015 Jeep Cherokee south on S. Bicycle Path when the Jeep ran a red light at Granny Road around 8 p.m. The Jeep then struck a westbound 2016 GMC, driven by Marisol Caprano, and an eastbound 2002 Suzuki, driven by Gregorio Paredes-Mendez, both on Granny Road.
The Jeep then struck a 1987 Chevrolet, driven by Michael Biddlecomb, who had stopped his vehicle at a red light facing northbound on Old Medford Avenue at Granny Road.

Darienzo fled the scene on foot and was arrested a short time later, police said.
Paredes-Mendez, 46, of Medford, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Caprano, 42, of Farmingville, and Biddlecomb, 35, of Selden, were taken to Stony Brook for treatment of minor injuries.

Darienzo, of Lake Grove, was also transported to Stony Brook to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Darienzo was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury and resisting arrest. She was also issued six summonses for various traffic violations and had nine active outstanding warrants. police said.
