Chabad Hosts Purim 'Candy Land' Celebration
Registration is necessary to attend the Friday afternoon event.
MERRICK, NY — The family-friendly Jewish holiday of Purim starts on Thursday night and the Chabad of Merrick-Bellmore-Wantagh is set for the festivities.
On Friday, you can hear the Megillah (Purim scroll) readings (3:30 and 4:30 p.m.) at the Clubhouse at Merrick Park Golf Course. This year's theme is a Candy Land celebration.
"Every year, we introduce a fun theme to make Purim even more exciting and memorable," said Rabbi Shimon Kramer. "This year, we’re bringing the holiday to life with ‘Purim in Candy Land’—a delightful fusion of Jewish tradition and a whimsical, candy-themed adventure!"
