Cops: Farmingdale Woman Drove Drunk with Child in Car
The incident occurred on the Meadowbrook Parkway Sunday morning, police say.

A Farmingdale woman is charged with driving while intoxicated with a child in the car Sunday morning in Roosevelt, authorities said.
Nassau Police say they observed Sheri Hinds, 28, driving above the speed limit while heading south on the Meadowbrook Parkway in a Nissan sedan at about 6:45 a.m. The officers conducted a traffic stop and determined Hinds was intoxicated. She was placed her under arrest.
Hinds’ 8-year-old son was in the vehicle at the time of arrest. The child was removed from the scene by his father, according to police.

Hinds is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), driving while intoxicated with a .08 blood alcohol content, driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child and vehicle and traffic law infractions, police say.

She will be arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
