  4. A Hempstead man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to murder for the 2017 attack with a hammer which left his mother, sister and a family friend dead, as well as another injured.
    Bobby Vanderhall, 37, of Hempstead, will be sentenced on Dec. 17, and is expected to get 50 years to life in prison. (Patch)
