Crime Report: Student Approached by Stranger, Ambulance Thief Caught
The following arrest information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department; it does not indicate a conviction.
- On Oct. 15, a stranger attempted to lure a  Calhoun High School student into his car while the student was walking home from school.
- A hubcap was stolen from a car that was parked in the Calhoun High School parking lot on Oct. 15.Â
- On Oct. 15, the front door of Valero Gas Station on Jerusalem Avenue was reported damaged.
- A Merrick man was recently arrested after he and two other men assaulted at 54-year-old man in Roosevelt.Â
- On Oct. 19, police arrested Salvatore Brecciano, 46, of North Merrick, who allegedly stole an ambulance outside of the Merrick fire house.Â
