Freeport Man Arrested For Stealing From Cars In Roosevelt: Police

Police say the man damaged multiple cars early Friday morning, and fled from police on foot before being charged with grand larceny.

ROOSEVELT, NY β€” A Freeport man has been arrested after police said he damaged and stole from cars in Roosevelt.

Police received 911 calls around 3:30 a.m. Friday that a man was rummaging through and damaging cars on Soma Place and Maple Street.

Police officers chased Marvin Feeley, 32, on foot and said he dumped stolen items in backyards. Feeley had an active warrant when he was arrested, police said.

He was arrested and faces charges of grand larceny, criminal mischief and possession of stolen property.

The items were returned to the owners.
