Girl Scouts of Nassau County Announces Merrick Resident to Serve on Board of Directors
Julie Strachan Haiber, Esq. Will Serve as Vice President on Girl Scouts of Nassau County's Board of Directors

Girl Scouts of Nassau County announced that Merrick resident Julie Strachan Haiber, Esq. has been elected to serve on Girl Scouts of Nassau Countyβs Board of Directors through 2027. Julie Strachan Haiber, Esq. was officially sworn in during the organizationβs 60th Annual Meeting, held at Nassau Community College in Garden City. The Board of Directors is comprised of lifelong Girl Scouts, community leaders, and nonprofit and corporative executives who provide leadership, innovation and support to the Council and guide the organizationβs vision and mission.
βOur Board of Directors is made up of passionate leaders who believe in the power of Girl Scouting to inspire and uplift the next generation,β said Randell Bynum, Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Nassau County. βI am eager to see this group of leaders inspire and shape the Girl Scout experience in their terms. I am confident they will help to fulfill our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character.β
Board members work together to provide strategic leadership and foster opportunities that help girls throughout Nassau County develop courage, confidence, and character. They also play a vital role in supporting fundraising efforts that expand access to Girl Scout programs that empower girls socially, academically, and emotionally.

Julie Strachan Haiber is Senior Vice President of Client Engagement at Harbor, overseeing strategic relationships with many of the worldβs largest global law firms. She brings extensive experience in legal technology, digital transformation, and innovation strategy to her work, helping advance law firmsβ business and practice of law initiatives. Previously, Julie spent two decades at Thomson Reuters and is a frequent speaker on innovation, AI and ethics, data, and automation. An attorney admitted to practice in New York, she holds a J.D. from New York Law School, a B.A. from The George Washington University, and a certificate in Digital Transformation of Legal Services from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. Julie has served as secretary of the GSNC Board of Directors, and is a member of CHIEF and an advocate for women and girl-focused leadership.
