Halloween Spooktacular, Harvest Fair

1. Flu Shots: County Legislator Dave Denenberg in conjunction with Duane Reade Pharmacy will provide flu shots at the Jewel Quinn Senior Center on Tuesday at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

2. The Calhoun H.S. On Tour Company Presents The Winter’s Tale: Celebrating its 40th anniversary, The Calhoun High School On Tour Company is kicking off its season with William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale on Friday at 7:30 p.m. 

3.  2013 Halloween Spooktacular: The event, which is hosted by hosted by the North and Central Merrick Civic Association, will include crafts, games, entertainment, candy and raffles for the kiddies. The event will take place in Fraser Park in North Merrick on Saturday at 11 a.m.

4. Long Island Curling Club - Learn to Curl - Session 1: The first of two sessions will take place on Saturday at Newbridge Road Park in Bellmore at 9:30 p.m. Wear warm, comfortable clothes and rubber-soled shoes. The session will cost $30 and reservations are required.

5.Old Fashioned Harvest Fair:  Merrick Methodist Church will hold its fair on Saturday. The event will include baked goods, pies, jams, pickles, attic treasures, vendors and handmade items.
