Hundreds Attend North Merrick Halloween Spooktacular
Children enjoyed a day of candy, raffles and Halloween fun.
More than 200 people attended the North and Central Merrick Civic Association's Halloween Spooktacular in Fraser Park on Saturday.Â
"This is one of the best of North Merrick traditions," Claudia Borecky, president of the North and Central Merrick Civic Association, said.Â
On a chilly afternoon, Fraser Park was filled with children adorned in costumes, enjoying the day.Â
The event included free candy, raffles and a mummy wrap.Â
Felicia Cilibrasi, who was dressed as Batwoman, attended the event with her two children and her husband. At the end of the event she won a chocolate house.
Â
"I tried to win it last year and I didn't," she smiled. "Today was great and the kids had a fantastic time. It was perfect."Â
Borecky agreed.Â
"It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time," she said.Â
