Lakeside Students Learn How to Live Healthy
Lakeside Elementary fifth-graders learned about the significance of exercise, living a healthy lifestyle and the importance of proper form.
Lakeside Elementary School fifth-graders enrolled in a fitness boot camp to maintain a healthy lifestyle during the holiday season, according to a school news release.
Fifth-graders participated in Be1st Fitness’ boot camp where they learned about the significance of exercise, living a healthy lifestyle and the importance of correctly performing the exercise through various exercise circuits, the release states.
The boot camp included bodyweight exercises such as pushups, sit-ups and squats to challenge students’ core muscles.

Students also strengthened their heart through aerobic exercises including burpees and jumping jacks.
In addition, fifth-graders ran through obstacles such as agility ladders and small hurdles to assist with coordination.

After students completed the boot camp, they were able to play dodge ball with their classmates.
