Man Dies After Merrick Crash
Police identified the victim as John Dabney, 25, of Freeport.

A Freeport man died after a car crash in Merrick on Saturday, police said.
According to authorities, John Dabney, 25, was driving a 2001 Nissan Altima westbound on Sunrise Highway at Lansdowne Avenue around 4:50 a.m. when he struck the guard rail causing the vehicle to overturn.
He was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where he was pronounced dead, police said. Â
The cause of the crash was not revealed by cops.Â
