Merrick Businesswoman Awards 3 High School Graduates With Scholarships

Realtor Anna Beigelman started the scholarship program in 2019.

MERRICK, NY — A longtime Merrick businesswoman is giving back to the community. Anna Beigelman has awarded three more local high school seniors with scholarships.

Beigelman, who has called Merrick home for 35 years, has been a licensed realtor for more than 20 years. Her scholarship program, which started in 2019, highlights seniors through outstanding leadership, community service, courage in handling adversity, strength of character or other ways of positive ways of standing out.

Abigail Stein, Mepham High School

Upon his being recognized, Grening said: "I am honored and grateful to receive Anna Beigelman’s scholarship. I am so appreciative of her generosity and the scholarship will be put to good use."

The scholarship program is a way to satisfy the importance of a college education.

"Children represent the future and this scholarship program is a way to invest in the community’s future generations," Beigelman said.
