Merrick Holds Pre-K Lottery This Week
Eligible families had to complete applications by Feb. 3.
MERRICK, NY — Students who are eligible for pre-kindergarten will get the first opportunity to participate in the district.
The Merrick Union Free School District will hold a lottery for the 2023-2024 universal pre-k program.
It will be held on the school's website on Feb. 10 at 9 a.m.

Applications had to be completed by Feb. 3
For those who submitted forms, children must be turning 4 years old by Dec. 1, 2023, and reside within the Merrick School District.

The program will run 5 days a week, 5 hours a day.
