Merrick Resident's Musical to Premiere in NYC
Eight of the nine performances of Marianne Driscoll's McGoldrick's Thread has sold out.

Merrick resident Marianne Driscoll wrote a musical, McGoldrick's Thread, which was recently accepted into the 1st Irish Music Festival and which will premiere at St. Mark's Theatre in New York City in September.
The play is a story of a young girl’s journey and dream of dancing on a big stage and her family’s sacrifice, love and support to get her there.
Driscoll, a Merrick resident for 18 years, said that she is very excited about the musical and that she has gotten great support from her community.
"Many of my neighbors know of the play," she said. "Shows are already sold out."
Eight of the nine performances of the show have sold out.
The only performance with seats available is on Sept. 25. Purchase tickets for McGoldrick's Thread here.
