Merrick's Kids Fest Returns For 28th Year

The event takes place April 25-27 at the Merrick train station.

MERRICK, NY — The Merrick Chamber of Commerce brings the 28th Annual Kids Fest to the community later this month.

Proceeds from Kids Fest will benefit the Merrick Chamber of Commerce’s Scholarship Fund, beautification projects and networking meetings.

Newton Shows handles the carnival portion of the popular event. It takes place at the Merrick train station from April 25-27.

Hours are: 6 p.m - 10 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m - 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

“We’ve been working together forever,” said Ira Reiter, President, Merrick Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman, Kids Fest. “Mike [Newton, Owner, Newton Shows] and I work really well together. He puts on some really great events.”

Kids Fest will feature a variety of new rides, as well as food and games. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be a children’s magic illusion show.

Parking and admission are free. However, advance tickets, including pay-one-price bracelets, can be purchased at newtonshows.com.
