Nassau Man Shot Another During Argument: Police
Police say an argument between the two men escalated, until one pulled out a gun and shot the other.

ROOSEVELT, NY β A Freeport man was arrested early Tuesday morning after police say he shot another man after an argument between them escalated.
According to police, Raul Flores, 24, of Freeport, was visiting a home on Madison Avenue in Roosevelt at 3:30 a.m. when he got into an argument with a 30-year-old man who lived there. The argument escalated, and police say Flores pulled out a handgun and shot the man in the leg.
Police responded to the scene and arrested Flores. The man was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition.

Flores is charged with first- and second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and first-degree reckless endangerment. He is scheduled to be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
