Nassau Residents Can Learn How To Avoid Becoming Scam Victims
The free seminar takes place on April 10 at the Merrick Library.
MERRICK, NY — The Merrick Public Library is inviting the community to learn steps to protect against scams. Seniors and vulnerable residents are most at risk of phone and online scams.
The free seminar is a scam awareness presentation aimed at helping residents identity scams, understand how to report one and how to recover if you become a scam victim.
It's coordinated by Legislator Michael Giangregorio (R-Merrick) is partnership with the Nassau County Office for the Aging and the Family & Children's Association.
