North Merrick Superintendent Named President of NCCSS
David S. Feller, superintendent of North Merrick Schools for 12 years was elected president of the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents.

North Merrick Superintendent David S. Feller was recently named the president of the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents (NCCSS).
In addition to his duties as superintendent, Feller has been recognized for his leadership at the both the county and state levels.
He served as treasurer, vice president and president-elect of NCCSS. For the past eight years, Feller has been the chairperson of the Superintendents’ Special Education Committee and received the 2010 Person of the Year award by the Long Island Association of Special Education Administrators.
In his new role, Feller will have an important voice at the state level. As president of NCCSS, he will serve on the House of Delegates of the New York State Council of School Superintendents, the umbrella organization which represents all New York State school superintendents.
He will also continue to serve on the Commissioner’s Advisory Council, a select group of superintendents who have an opportunity to discuss issues of mutual concern with the commissioner of education throughout the school year.
Feller has been the superintendent of North Merrick Schools for 12 years.
The Nassau County Council of School Superintendents gives superintendents of the public school districts in Nassau County the opportunity to share experiences and information on educational problems and practices within the county and state. The organization provides collective leadership in dealing with all issues confronting public education.
