• Bellmore Herald Person of the Year: Stacy Brief leads the charge in tackling mental health (liherald.com) — Mental health advocate and Bellmore resident Stacy Brief has brought suicide-prevention and youth wellness programs directly into Bellmore, Merrick, and North Merrick schools, including an annual summit at Brookside School. As funding cuts ended a key nonprofit’s Long Island work, she’s now building a new foundation to keep these supports available for local students.
