  1. Patch has details on a fatal pedestrian incident in Uniondale. An 83-year-old man was driving a 2010 GMC west on Jerusalem Avenue, near Edgemere Avenue, at 11:23 p.m. when he hit a 72-year-old man who died at the scene. (Patch)
  2. Andrew Garcia explains that Gov. Kathy Hochul has signed legislation for the public takeover of New York American Water — a private water supplier serving ratepayers in Merrick, Bellmore and other Town of Hempstead communities. (LI Herald)
  3. Jerry Barmash has details on Veterans Day events at the Levy Lakeside School. The elementary school is posting its second annual Field of Honor flag display on the front lawn with names of students' family members who served in the armed services.
