1. Schools Closed: Schools in the Merrick and North Merrick School District will be closed on Monday in observance of Columbus Day.
2. Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District BOE Meeting:The District will have its monthly Board of Education meeting on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
3. Extreme Design Makeover: Learn to redecorate your home with items you already have at the North Merrick Library on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
4. Boy Scout Troop 285 Open House: The troop that is home to more than 52 Eagle Scouts will have an open house at Mepham High School on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
