A dangerous snow squall is causing whiteout conditions with zero visibility in heavy blowing snow.

LONG ISLAND, NY - The National Weather Service has issued a snow squall warning for parts of Long Island.

It's in effect until 4:45 p.m. for Suffolk County and northeastern Nassau County.

At 3:58 p.m., a dangerous snow squall was moving east at 55 mph. It is causing whiteout conditions with zero visibility in heavy blowing snow. Winds are gusting up to 45 mph.
