Students Support Ukraine With Sale Of Heart Magnets

Some of the money raised will help with medical supplies for the war-torn country.

MERRICK, NY — Long Islanders have been impacted by the war in Ukraine and many are finding ways to help those in the country.

Students and families from the Birch School in Merrick are joining in their support as well.

Heart magnets were sold at the school, showing unity by displaying the national colors of Ukraine and the Birch School.

Money raised will go toward needed medical or kitchen supplies.

Several Birch students donated their allowances to support the worthy cause.
