Two From Merrick Face Drug Charges in Florida
Michael Broems, 23 and Mishelle Mahler, 22, of Merrick were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to an article in The Leader Herald.

Two people from Merrick were arrested and charged in Florida for possession of drugs which included hallucinogens and marijuana, according to an article in The Leader Herald.
According to the report, Michael Broems, 23 and Mishelle Mahler, 22, were arrested in Montgomery County in Florida after a traffic stop.
Authorities said that during the stop Broems acted with strange and confusing behavior, throwing items around the car before he was asked to get out. When deputies opened the door, illegal controlled substances were in plain view, according to the report.
During a search, large amounts of MDMA, a pure form of Ecstasy, hallucinogenic mushrooms and marijuana were found, the report said.
Broems and Mahler were both charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell and fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
