- Joseph Kellard has details on another fatal car incident. An 18-year-old man was driving when he hit a man walking on Hanse Avenue and Mill Road in Freeport around 1:30 a.m. Monday night. (Patch)
- Jerry Barmash tells us that a milestone has been achieved on Long Island: the first female football has scored a touchdown. Bellmore's Sofia LaSpina is a junior at Mepham High School and scored on Saturday in a victory over Roslyn. (Patch)
