The Week Ahead: Board of Education Meeting, LIRR Forum

Long Island Rail Road Forum: Legislator Dave Denenberg will present a forum with Long Island Railroad representatives regarding the Bellmore, Merrick, Freeport, Seaford and Wantagh train stations at Merrick Public Library on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Denenberg Hosts Superstorm Sandy Workshops:  Legislator Dave Denenberg together with Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy will present a community meeting regarding the rebuilding and elevating homes in the Town of Hempstead and Freeport, building permit requirements, insurance issues, advocacy and FEMA assistance. The forum will take place at the Brookside School at 1260 Meadowbrook Road on Tuesday at 7 p.m. 

CHSD Board of Education Meeting: The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District will have a Board of Education meeting at 1260 Meadowbrook Road on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Beach Bag Book Club: The Merrick Public Library in conjunction with the North Merrick, Bellmore and North Bellmore libraries will host the Beach Bag Book Club. During each meeting, kids will have an opportunity to meet authors and discuss their books with them. The meetings will include raffles, a book sale and book signings. Kieran Scott Presents "Shadow Lands" will take place on Wednesday at the Merrick Public Library at 6:30 p.m.

LIVE Music: Fuel the Soul's Greg Fine: Fuel the Soul's Greg Fine will be performing at The Vine Wine Bar on Thursday at 8 p.m. So enjoy some good wine and some live music!
