- The Republican majority of the Nassau County Legislature proposed a plan on Monday that would cut nearly $100 million in fees from the upcoming 2021-22 budget, and make up the difference with sales tax revenue. The fees include things like mortgage "recording fees" and red light camera fines. (News 12)
- The Daily Voice has the details on the arrest of a man driving the wrong way on the Long Island Expressway on Sunday. Luis Mendoza, age 34, of Huntington, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. (Daily Voice)
- Jerry Barmash reports that Gov. Kathy Hochul signed legislation sponsored by state Senator John Brooks from Massapequa, recognizing emergency dispatchers as first responders. (Patch)
