1 Fatally Stabbed During Fight In Port Jervis
Police said two others were also stabbed during the altercation.
PORT JERVIS, NY — One person was fatally stabbed and two others seriously wounded after a fight broke out in Port Jervis Wednesday.
The Port Jervis Police Department said officers were called shortly after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday to Bon Secours Community Hospital for a report of three people in the emergency department with stab wounds.
An investigation found that a fight between two groups of people on Jersey Avenue near the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue resulted in three stabbings.

Police said Destin Rabess, 18, of Montgomery, was stabbed and was pronounced dead by the attending physician.
A 17-year-old from Walden was stabbed and was taken to Westchester Medical Center where he remains in critical but stable condition. A 16-year-old from Walden was stabbed. He was treated at Bon Secours Community Hospital and released.

Port Jervis police are conducting this investigation in conjunction with the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit, along with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center.
At this time, there are no arrests related to this incident, police said.
Numerous people were involved, and police have conducted multiple interviews.
