NEWBURGH, NY — An assistant principal and three teachers at Newburgh Free Academy were suspended Tuesday after a Board of Education meeting.

News 12 is reporting that art teacher Nicole Mischo and one other were brought up on disciplinary charges because of remarks in a Facebook post that called a Black student's hair extension a snake.

Assistant Principal Katrina Simon and a high school teacher were said to be suspended over how some recent Regents exams were conducted.
