Brooklyn Man Accused Of Drunken Driving After Running Car Off Road
Police said the 43-year-old had a blood alcohol content of 0.26 percent.

NEW PALTZ, NY — A one-car accident in the town of New Paltz led to an accusation of drunken driving for a Brooklyn man.
The New York State Police said troopers were called around 8:30 p.m. Sunday to an accident on Interstate 87 in New Paltz.
An investigation found a 2015 Toyota Rav4 drove about 20 feet off the roadway into a wooded area.

Tsering Wangyal, 43, of Brooklyn, was the driver, police said, and he was found to be intoxicated but not injured.
He was taken into custody and processed at the Newburgh barracks where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.26 percent.

Wangyal was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
He was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of New Paltz Court June 29.
