Columbia County Man Faces Rape Charges: NYSP

Police said he was accused of raping a child under the age of 13 on multiple occasions.

STUYVESANT, NY — A Columbia County man was arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting a child.

The New York State Police said Misael Chun Pastor, 36, of Kinderhook, was charged Thursday with first-degree predatory sexual assault against a child, five counts of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual conduct against a child and first-degree sexual abuse, all felonies.

Authorities said, after receiving a tip, an investigation found Chun Pastor raped a child who was under the age of 13 on multiple occasions, police said.

State police personnel began searching for the man late Wednesday night in Kinderhook and Chatham and he was located and arrested Thursday, according to authorities.

Chun Pastor was arraigned in the Town of Stuyvesant Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail.

He is next scheduled to appear before the court May 11.
