Authorities said the woman was armed with a knife.

HYDE PARK, NY — The New York State Police released more information Monday about the officer-involved shooting in Hyde Park Friday afternoon.

Authorities said, around 3:30 p.m. Friday, the Hyde Park Police Department responded to a physical domestic incident on North Cross Road with the state police assisting.

Hyde Park officers Joshua Kemlage and Bryan Sweeney, along with Trooper Christopher Miller from the Rhinebeck barracks, were successful at first in de-escalating a fight between Jamie M. Feith, 34, and a man at the residence.

However, Feith died at the scene.

Authorities said the events leading up to and surrounding the incident are still under investigation.

The New York State Attorney General's Office is now the lead investigative agency.
