NYPD Cop Kills Wife's Lover, Then Himself Outside HV Restaurant
Police identified the NYPD officer and the man they said he shot and killed.

WALLKILL, NY — A police officer with the New York City Police Department shot and killed a Sullivan County man and then killed himself Sunday outside an Orange County restaurant.
The Town of Wallkill Police Department said in a news release that NYPD Officer Sean Armstead, 36, of Port Jervis, was found dead around 10:30 pm. in the parking lot of Buffalo Wild Wings, 567 Route 211 East, in the town of Wallkill.
Edward Wilkins, 20, of Wurtsboro, Sullivan County, was also found dead at the scene.

Police said a Glock 19 handgun and several spent shell casings were found in the parking lot.
Law enforcement sources said Armstead followed his wife, Alexandra Vanderheyden, 35, and Wilkins to a nearby hotel, the New York Post reported.

Armstead believed Vanderheyden and Wilkins were having an affair.
News 12 reported sources saying Armstead crashed his car into the vehicle containing Vanderheyden and Wilkins.
Armstead then chased Wilkins on foot and fatally shot the 20-year-old. He then turned the gun on himself, shooting himself once in the head.
No other information was released about Vanderheyden.
Wallkill police said the incident is being investigated by the New York State Attorney General's Office and the Town of Wallkill Police Department. Investigators are being assisted by the New York State Police, Orange County Sheriff's Office and the City of Middletown and New York City police departments.
