Flood Advisory Issued For Dutchess County

DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — With thunderstorms moving through the mid-Hudson Valley, there is the possibility of flooding.

The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for Dutchess County Tuesday.

It is in effect until 4:30 p.m.

Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas can be expected, along with water over roadways.

Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

The weather service reminds the public to turn around when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
