
MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties.
The advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
There could be minor flooding in low-lying and poor-drainage areas.

At 2:50 p.m., radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.7 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches will be over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
