Good Samaritan Robbed At Knife-Point In Newburgh
Police are looking for the suspect in the April 3 robbery.

NEWBURGH, NY — Newburgh town police are looking for a suspect in a knife-point robbery that occurred April 3.
The Town of Newburgh Police Department said in a news release Wednesday the robbery happened around 5:40 a.m. near the intersection of Route 9W and Conway Road.
Authorities said an off-duty EMS worker was flagged down by someone on the shoulder of Route 9W. The EMS worker believed the person needed help and pulled over.

At that point, the suspect brandished a knife and stole the victim's wallet.
Police said the suspect is in his mid-30s to early 40s, about 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He has a blotchy black beard.

The person was driving a grey four-door sedan and fled in an unknown direction.
