High-Speed Chase Nets Monroe Man 2 Felony Charges: NYSP
Police said he was driving while intoxicated after having been convicted of a previous DWI charge.

MONROE, NY — An Orange County man was accused trying to get away from an officer while law enforcement was en route to a burglary.
The New York State Police said, shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, troopers from the Middletown barracks were sent to check out a possible burglary in the town of Wallkill.
With emergency lights activated, troopers attempted to pass a 2010 Toyota Corolla going west on Route 17M in front of them when the car took off at a high rate of speed.

Troopers said they tried to get the Corolla to pull over, but the driver — Isaya P. Dolson, 27, of Monroe — fled without stopping.
Police said the pursuit entered Sullivan County and ended when Dolson crashed into an embankment on Rock Hill Drive, taking the car out of commission.

He was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated and first-degree reckless endangerment, both felonies. He was also charged with third-degree fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.
Dolson was driving on a revoked license from a previous DWI conviction and was currently on parole, police said.
The pursuit lasted about 14 minutes, police said, and reached speeds of more than 90 mph.
He was arraigned in the Town of Wallkill Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail and $200,000 bond.
State police said Dolson and the car he was driving were not related to the burglary complaint in the town of Wallkill.
