Home Depot Employee Accused Of Making Fraudulent Sales

MONROE, NY — Police accused an Orange County woman of making fraudulent charges for merchandise at a Home Depot.

The New York State Police said Nikeisha Grant, 45, of Washingtonville, was charged Sunday with first-degree falsify business records and fourth-degree grand larceny, felonies.

Authorities said the woman was employed at the Home Depot in Monroe where the store's asset protection found the was making fake transactions for someone during the months of March and May.

Police said Grant would fail to scan certain items and void previous transactions.

The total for the fraudulent charges was more than $1,200.

Grant was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Monroe Court May 23.
