Hudson Valley Hiker Killed In Fall At Platte Cove Preserve
Authorities said the woman's body was recovered near Bridal Veil Falls in Greene County.

HUNTER, NY — A Dutchess County woman was killed after she fell while hiking near Bridal Veil Falls in the Platte Cove area in Greene County.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation said the body of Elizabeth Adinaro, 31, of Hopewell Junction, was found by a state forest ranger around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, the Times Union reported.
The DEC said rangers, with the assistance of the New York State Police and Greene County Paramedics, conducted a technical roper recovery after the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body was transferred to the custody of the Greene County Coroner.
The state police are leading the investigation, according to the DEC.

Adinaro was an accomplished dog groomer, according to her obituary. She also volunteered for various animal rescue organizations.
She is survived by her parents, a sister and her "beloved four-legged daughter Molly."
A memorial service will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, 1089 Main St., in Fishkill.
