Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Raping Child

FALLSBURG, NY — A Sullivan County man was accused of raping a child.

The New York State Police in connection with the Sullivan County Child Abuse Unit said Edward Hotalen, 47, of Fallsburg, was charged with third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sex act, felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Hotalen was arraigned and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail, $10,000 secure bond or $20,0000 partially secure bond.
