HV Woman Uses Stolen Driver's License To Access Bank Account: NYSP

Police said she stole more than $29,000 from the account over three-and-half years.

WALLKILL, NY — An Ulster County woman was accused of using a stolen driver's license to gain access to someone else's bank account.

The New York State Police said Tammy Granieri, 56, of the town of Wallkill, was charged Wednesday with third-degree grand larceny, identity theft and second-degree forgery, all felonies.

Police said an investigation found that she used a stolen New York driver's license to obtain access to the victim's TD Bank account.

From November 2018 through April 2022, authorities said Granieri stole more than $29,700 from the account using a fraudulent ID card.

She was arraigned in the City of Middletown Court and released on her own recognizance.
