Kingston Man On The Lam After Rape Accusation: NYSP

Authorities said he failed to appear in the Greene County Court after being released on bail.

KINGSTON, NY — New York State Police are looking for a Kingston man who didn't show up in court after being accused of rape.

Police said Luis D. Fernandez, 46, of Kingston, failed to appear in the Greene County Court after being released on bail.

He is wanted for multiple felony charges, authorities said, including predatory sexual assault against a child, first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child and four counts of first-degree rape.

Fernandez is also wanted by the Greene County Sheriff's Office, police said.

Law enforcement said he may be attempting to flee to Puerto Rico.
