Man Dies After Losing Control Of Motorcycle In Ulster County
Police said his passenger was taken to a hospital by helicopter in serious condition.
TOWN OF ROCHESTER, NY — A motorcyclist was killed Monday after losing control of his vehicle in Ulster County.
The New York State Police said, shortly after 10 p.m. Monday, Marshall G. Barney, 62, of Milton, was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle with a passenger on the back while traveling east on Samsonville Road.
Police said, while making a 90-degree turn at Hill Road, he lost control of the motorcycle and crossed over the double yellow line into westbound traffic. He struck a guide rail head-on.

When troopers arrived at the scene, members of the Kerhonkson First Aid Squad were performing CPR on Barney.
Despite lifesaving measures, he was pronounced dead.

His passenger — Claudine Unabia, 30, of Gardiner — was treated by emergency medical technicians and taken to Westchester Medical Center via helicopter in serious condition.
