NH Man Arrested With Drugs Following Traffic Stop: NYSP

Troopers said the man also had a switchblade when he was pulled over.

CATSKILL, NY — A New Hampshire man was accused of having illegal drugs, including LSD.

The New York State Police said Michael Connor, 52, of Goffstown, New Hampshire, was stopped for a traffic violation while driving his Ford Fusion on Route 23B in the town of Catskill Sunday.

Troopers said, while speaking with him, they detected the smell of alcohol and he was asked to get out of the car for further evaluation.

Connor was found to have a switchblade, and a search of his car found LSD, multiple glass containers with cocaine residue and a black digital scale that also had cocaine residue, police said.

He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.

The New Hampshire resident was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, misdemeanors.

Connor was arraigned in the Town of Catskill Court and released on his own recognizance.
